31 Winchester Street Tuck Pointing and Façade
Brief Description:
This beautiful historic building in downtown Warrenton, known as Carter Hall (Est. 1819), was in need of a full front Façade restoration including: tuck pointing, caulking, brick replacement, cleaning, and painting. It was an honor to work on this beautiful historic property!
This project included over 1400 square feet of tuck-pointing (removing and replacing deteriorated brick mortar) and the replacement of approximately 100 damaged bricks. There was also over 300 linear feet of caulk replacement required. Our team was also responsible for the cleaning and re-painting of the stone window sills, lintels, and cornice. Access to the façade also required the careful removal and re-installation of 26 hinged antique shutters, as well as specialty scaffolding due to the basement window wells.
